After one of the most contentious elections in American history, we are entering the holiday season when family dinners can be an argument waiting to happen.

Nov. 20 the National Trans Day of Remembrance. Members of ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½'s LGBTQ+ community and allies honored trans lives lost with observances on campus.

The campus community joined together with pizza and joy Nov. 19 at ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ Tuscarawas to celebrate their national champion women’s volleyball program. 

Multiple buildings on ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½â€™s Kent Campus were affected Tuesday morning by a strong odor of natural gas, leading some employees and students to vacate their buildings.

The Summit Professor of Learning Technologies and Professor of Educational Technology, Richard Ferdig, Ph.D., has had a multitude of students come through his courses. Each student has different preconceived notions, different goals and different reasons for joining his class.

From the runway to the highway, a fashion show in the Cleveland Flats spotlighted the ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ School of Fashion and Porsche's new electric vehicle.

The Ruck for Pets and Vets saw participants march with full backpacks from Downtown Kent and through the university campus to finish at Dix Stadium. Items in the backpacks, and proceeds from the event, will assist in matching veterans and first responders with companion animals. 

As the rapid advancement of technology and global interconnectivity continues, cyber threats simultaneously evolve and become increasingly prevalent. It is evident that there is an ever-growing need for professionals equipped with the skills to recognize and address the technical, criminal and social aspects of cybercrime.  

University Libraries’ Performing Arts Library at ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ hosted its Open Mic Lunch on Nov. 1, where students and university community members came together to showcase their talents and connect through live music. 

ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ honored all who have served with Veterans Day Commemoration ceremonies Friday on the Kent Campus’ Student Green.

KSU Navigate, a new technology platform more than two years in the making, will fully launch on Nov. 18, giving ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ students an easy and efficient way to schedule tutoring and academic advising putting them on track for success in their coursework.

As excitement builds for the upcoming event hosted by your student group, you plaster posters on lamp posts and the sides of campus buildings to promote it. While ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ supports events created by student organizations, there is a right way and a right place to hang posters on campus.

As a first-generation college student coming from Wisconsin, I found the college experience nerve-wracking. I didn't have anyone nearby to support me, and I didn’t know anyone who had this shared identity. ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½'s "I Am First Week" honors us and our struggles.
