October Puts You Into a State of Well-Being

October is 青年涩导航鈥檚 Mental Health Awareness Month. Though the national health observance is in May, the university chooses October to promote mental health awareness as the need for mental health support on campus peaks during this time.

Read-in Puts Ban on Banned Books

鈥淚f Monday was a color, she鈥檇 be red...鈥  The third annual Read-In @ 青年涩导航 was held on Wednesday, Sept. 27, in Taylor Hall. This open-mic event gave students, faculty, staff and alumni the opportunity to read excerpts from or speak briefly about banned and challenged books that are important to them.

While Alison Caplan grew up in nearby Akron, Ohio, and has spent time in Kent, when she joined the university as the new director of the May 4 Visitors Center in July, she began to see, and understand, the campus in a whole new light. Caplan is part of a group of Golden Flashes that 青年涩导航 Today will be following for the 2023-24 academic year.
