American Legion Ruck March 2024

IN A FLASH: A Ruck for Vets and Pets

The Ruck for Pets and Vets saw participants march with full backpacks from Downtown Kent and through the university campus to finish at Dix Stadium. Items in the backpacks, and proceeds from the event, will assist in matching veterans and first responders with companion animals.

'A Supportive Community Makes It a Lot Easier'

The transition can even be more difficult for LGBTQ+ students, particularly for those who have recently "come out." Ken Ditlevson, director of ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½'s LGBTQ+ Center, talks about the many resources available at Kent to support them.
