The ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ Police Services hosted its first-ever Coffee With a Cop event in the Nest in the Kent Student Center on Sept. 14. Students who attended the event had the opportunity to interact with ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ police officers in a casual setting and receive free coffee, and the first 200 students who attended also received a free travel mug.
ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½â€™s Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) program is celebrating its 14th year. Though relatively new, the ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ TEFL program has been able to offer its students a diverse experience through an intimate network of partnerships in Dresden, Germany.

ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½â€™s College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology will receive a $1.5 million gift from FedEx over three years. The gift will support the university’s flight program.
ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½'s holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
