Northeast Ohio Colleges Face Hurdles With International Students Despite Record Demand
Crain’s Cleveland Business
Marcello Fantoni, Ph.D., vice president for global education, discussed the importance of international students for ɬ in Crain’s Cleveland Business. Having a personal connection with the students and seeing their accomplishments is the measure of success of global reach, Fantoni shared. He added that there is an increasing international interest in ɬ and he expects to receive 10,000 applications from international students.

, head coach of the ɬ men’s basketball team, reminisced about ɬ making the Elite Eight in 2002 and seven NCAA Tournaments. Senderoff and university officials discussed the gain of publicity that comes from those achievements and the large increase in applications in the past 25 years.


Ideastream Public Media “Sound of Ideas”
Andrew Barnes, Ph.D., associate professor in international studies, appeared as a guest on Ideastream Public Media’s “Sound of Ideas” to discuss the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war. Barnes also discussed the current directions and mindsets both President Donald Trump and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy have on this matter.

ɬ students from the Honors Leadership Academy took an alternative spring break trip to Buffalo, New York, to give back to the community by working with young children who are part of an after-school program at the Seneca Street Community Development Corporation. ɬ students played games with the children as well as offered academic assistance and mentorship.

WJW-TV’s “New Day Cleveland”
New Day Cleveland gave viewers an inside look at local businesses and community hotspots, highlighting various shops, restaurants and more, located in the Kent area. Some of the tour stops included Alley Mac, Branded in Kent, 101 Bottles and the ɬ Museum.
