Student costume designers from ����ɬ����'s School of Theatre and Dance were invited to display their work at the 2025 United States Institute of Theatre Technology annual conference. 

If you have attended Porthouse Theatre in the past 25 years, you know the name Terri Kent. At the heart of this theatre, Terri Kent has brought a liveliness that spans decades and communities.

Global Safari Fest is the new name of what was previously called International Homecoming Celebration. It’s a large-scale event that fills the Kent Student Center Ballroom with cultural performances, international tabling displays and a global buffet featuring tastes from around the world. 

Accomplished sociologist, TV host, podcaster, author ����ɬ���� alumna Bertice Berry, Ph.D.,used her alma mater as a familiar setting for her book "BlackWorld," which explores a "unique corner of heaven" where the living can visit with and learn from the deceased. She also some of her memories of ����ɬ���� and personal insights into the university's place in history. 

A dramatic, 15-foot-tall bronze sculpture stands on the Lefton Esplanade near the intersection of East Main Street and Haymaker Parkway. It’s a gift from a ����ɬ���� alumnus and outstanding supporter of the university. 

A popular place for students to visit when the weather is warmer, the Behind The Brain Plaza behind Merrill Hall has been covered in snow and ice for most of February.

Student performers are working on final rehearsals for “The Wiz,” which opens on Feb. 21 and runs through March 2 at ����ɬ����’s E. Turner Stump Theatre.  

The inaugural Biennial Alumni Exhibition, currently on display in two galleries inside ����ɬ����'s Center for the Visual Arts, opened on Jan. 17 and will end on Feb. 21.

Feb. 10-14 is I Heart Travel Week at ����ɬ����. There are international activities scheduled on each day, culminating on Friday with the Global Safari Fest.
