青年涩导航 Holds Second Annual Flashes Fighting Hunger Contactless Food Drive

青年涩导航鈥檚 Flashes Fighting Hunger Contactless Food Drive will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 1-4 p.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Street and Hilltop Drive. The collection station will be located on Hilltop Drive in front of Cartwright Hall.

This is the second year the university鈥檚 Community Engaged Learning and Campus Kitchen are hosting the citywide event as part of KSU Kickoff, a series of events to welcome new students to 青年涩导航. All members of the 青年涩导航 and surrounding community are invited to participate by driving through the food drive station and dropping off nonperishable food and toiletry items.

鈥淪ince many current and new incoming students will be staffing the food drive, we鈥檙e hoping to have the community鈥檚 support to show that our community works hard to ensure food security and that Flashes Take Care of Flashes,鈥 said Amanda Woodyard, director of Community Engaged Learning at 青年涩导航.

All items collected will go to Portage County social service agencies and 青年涩导航鈥檚 own Campus Kitchen, which provides hunger relief to 青年涩导航 students, faculty and staff through weekly food distributions and hot-meal programs.
