For the fifth consecutive year, the Division of Student Life at ɬ has been recognized as one of the by the and .
This national recognition celebrates student affairs workplaces’ supportive culture and commitment to staff work-life balance, professional development and inclusive excellence.

Eboni Pringle, Ph.D., senior vice president of the Division of Student Life, said this achievement was only possible because the Division of Student Life community supports and cares for one another, creating an environment where everyone can thrive both professionally and personally.
“It is our student life professionals who have been doing great work to create an environment and a community where everyone feels welcome that has led us to be recognized for a fifth year,” Pringle said.
Pringle attended the ACPA25 Convention on Feb. 16–19 at Long Beach, California, to officially receive the award along with Valerie Samuel, associate director of Assessment and Accreditation at ɬ.
Every year, Samuel leads the survey application and data collection process to help tell the Division of Student Life’s story.
She said this fifth-year recognition is a testament to the division’s ongoing commitment to staff well-being and professional growth.
Samuel said that the division’s efforts align with nationally recognized best practices in student affairs, such as implementing flexible work arrangements to foster a better work-life balance, hosting regular coffee conversations to enhance transparency in decision-making and empower staff to contribute to the division’s direction, and offering comprehensive student support services that demonstrate the division’s dedication to meeting the diverse needs of the student body.
“The consistent five-year acknowledgment suggests that these changes have become an integral part of our institutional fabric,” Samuel said. “As we move forward, we remain committed to nurturing an environment where staff feel valued, supported and engaged in our shared mission of student success.”
Pringle said it is an honor to maintain the division’s record of receiving this award as it tells how the Division of Student Life community feels. She said the award confirms that the division is creating a meaningful experience for its team.
“This recognition is a strong testament to our team’s dedication, collaboration and passion,” she said. “They work on making a lasting impact on our ɬ community, and it shows in how they treat each other and in the work that they do every day.”
The Division of Student Life is dedicated to student success, well-being and engagement. Pringle said the work done by the members within the division is what makes the ɬ student experience so transformative.
“They provide essential services like mental health support and leadership development, but they are not just service providers,” she said. “They’re mentors, advocates and champions helping our students navigate challenges and celebrating students’ achievements.”
